> ## Agent Instructions
> Driven is a sales-compensation platform. Use its terminology: Compensation Plan, Compensation, KPI, Manual KPI, User Variable, Quota, Performance, Payout (Draft, Approved, Paid, Cancelled), Correction, Adjustment. Payout types are equal, deferred and advance. Default roles are Admin and Employee; companies can add custom roles. The Driven Agent builds plans from uploaded documents and chat. The Compensation Builder is where compensations are configured.

# Claude and MCP

> Connect Claude to your Driven company with a read-only MCP connector, so it can answer questions about plans, people, performance and payouts.

MCP is how an external assistant reads Driven. The connection is read-only. It can look up plans, compensations, people, performance and payouts. It cannot create plans, publish compensations or approve payouts.

The connector is tied to the company you pick while connecting. Switching company inside Driven later does not move the connection.

## Connect Claude

On **Integrations**, the **Claude (MCP)** card has **Set up instructions**. The dialog is **Set up Claude**.

**1. Open Claude connectors**

In Claude, make sure you are logged in. Click your avatar, open **Settings**, then **Connectors** under **Customization**.

**2. Add a custom connector**

Click **Add custom connector**.

**3. Paste the Driven details**

Set **Name** to `Driven`. Paste the **Remote MCP server URL** from the dialog. In production that URL is `https://app.driven.work/mcp`. Copy it from the dialog so you get the URL for the environment you are signed in to.

**4. Approve access**

Finish the log-in. Pick the company, then review the consent screen. It is titled **Authorize**, names the client, and lists what it is requesting under **Connect to** your company. Click **Approve**.

## What you can grant

Every permission is read-only. Grant only what the assistant needs.

| On the consent screen | The assistant can |
| - | - |
| **Plans** | View compensation plan details |
| **Compensations** | View compensation rules and quotas |
| **Users** | View people in your Driven workspace |
| **Compensation performance** | View calculated performance results |
| **Payouts** | Export payouts you are allowed to manage |
| **Offline access** | Keep the connection when you are signed out of Driven |

Driven also checks your own access. The assistant cannot see a plan you cannot see. Performance follows the plans you can open in insights. Payout export is limited to payouts you can manage. The user list, if you grant it, includes everyone in the company you connected, not only people on your plans.

## Questions you can ask

Once the connector is approved, ask Claude about your Driven data. For example:

* Which compensations are on the 2026 account-executive plan, and what are their quotas?
* What was Alex's attainment on new business last quarter?
* Export this quarter's approved payouts.

The answers use the same figures as Driven, including locked payouts. A locked payout reports the quota and performance it was approved with, not a quota edited afterwards.
